picture is worth a thousand words and when it comes to online dating, your picture is a huge factor in whether or not you get messaged back. If you’re wondering why online dating doesn’t seem to be working for you, your profile pictures might need a makeover. There are a few things you should never ever do when it comes to your photos and here are the biggest “no-nos” in the book.

    1. No Group Photos

      Nope…I’m Single

Unless you are the most attractive in the group. I know it seems shallow, but it’s true. They will be comparing you to everyone else in seconds. Limit it to one group photo so she can see which one you clearly are. If you have too many group shots it might become confusing, especially if you look like your friends.

    1. No Shirtless Photos

Unless you are doing a shirtless activity like surfing, climbing a rock wall or swimming. No gym or indoor shirtless selfies allowed. It’s too try hard and makes you seem desperate for attention. Showing off your six pack in an effortless fashion as you spike a beach ball is way more appropriate and “real”.

    1. No girls

Unless it’s clearly your mom. Which isn’t a good idea anyway. Even if it’s your gay best friend, or sister or cousin. Doesn’t matter. She will be one hundred percent less likely to click on your pic if there’s a girl in it. Think about how you would react if you saw a guy in her photo. You would probably instantly compare yourself and talk yourself out of messaging her. Don’t let it happen to you!

    1. No bathroom selfies

      Failed Selfie

If there is a picture of you in a bathroom taking a selfie on your dating profile, get rid of it immediately. I would almost say no selfies allowed at all because they’re try hard and make you seem less confident. The bathroom selfie makes you seem lonely and sad. Don’t give her the wrong impression. If you’re going to do a selfie, make it seem like you’re having fun or be a little goofy. Don’t take your selfie too seriously.

    1. No photos of random objects

Including wads of cash and cats. It makes it seem like you don’t have a full enough life to include more photos so you’re kinda “filling in the blanks”. This might seem like an obvious one, but people still seem to think it’s ok to post these kind of things. You will seem more “lame” than you probably are.

    1. No Dim lighting

This one is a given. Don’t even bother using a picture if it’s dark or blurry. It will again seem like you don’t have enough cool photos to use, so you had to resort to one that barely fits the bill. Make sure all your indoor photos are bright and clear. The photos that always get the most response will be of high resolution and have good lighting.
